Red color Bengalis

The most classic, that is, the original color variant of Bengal cats was brown (black) spotted tabby – in translation brown (black) spotted. In various international systems, redhead is basically written in different ways. For example, in WCF standards it is indicated by the code n24, where the symbol “n” is black, the number 24 is spotted. This does not mean that Bengal cats have black hair. It is simply accepted in established genetics that cats are either black or red, and all other variations are based on them. Therefore, the background color of the Bengal cat, which is visualized as golden, is not considered as such by the standard. However, this combination of colors is popularly called the “rosette on gold” color, and this definition is quite accurate.

Red color Bengalis

It would seem that leopard cats of this color should be similar. However, in reality, there will never be two bengals with the same coat in both color and pattern, even if they have the same brown spotted tabby (n24) written in the pedigree.

Variations of background wool and patterns on Brown Tabby Bengal
There are no identical Bengal cats even in the main background of the hairline, not to mention the patterns on it. By standards, the gamma can vary from creamy shades of cream brown to very dark, almost black, from golden to tan, and chocolate.

Body painting
While not looking at the patterns, let’s dwell on the color scheme of the body of a Bengal brown (black) tabby. This is a brown cat, in the main background coat of color of which all numerous varieties of color are allowed. However, tones with a high proportion of redness (rufism) are considered and highly appreciated, namely:

– warm yellow or yellow-orange;

– buff color;

– tan;

– golden or golden orange.

Picture color
It is Brown Tabby that is the original variety of all Bengal cats. This was the founder of the breed wild cat Malaysia, who married a black Abyssinian cat. Spots and stains, including monochromatic ones, in descendants can be either actually black with gradation in shades of dark chocolate, or brown-brick, yellowish-brown. Valued in the breed “rosettes” are always two- and three-colored, with three shades preferable.

Patterns of ginger bengals
The configurations of exotic patterns on the hair of leopard cats are distributed according to two main outlines: BEN n 24 (Spotted, spotted) and BEN n 22 (Marble, marble or marble).

Species types and standards
Spots, including the famous rosette on gold, make a home Bengal very similar to forest Asian ancestors. Leopard marks can be located either randomly or in horizontal rows. The sharper and larger the outlet, the more valuable and higher the class of bengal. Such patterns are formed by two to three different shades (preferably three with a darker secondary stroke). A stain in shape may look like:

– paw print;

– dart (swept outline);

– open semi-oval in the form of a large half-donut;

– a donut semicircle with a large middle and thin circular clear contours.

Sockets can be collected in a kind of bunch around a single large spot. Other forms are possible.

Solid uniformly colored marks are also diverse in size. A common requirement for the pattern is contrast with the background – the maximum possible, giving a visually clear picture in sharp outlines. On the shoulders of the animal’s fur coat is decorated with horizontal curved spots, in the same marks the inside of the paws, tail. The lighter belly of a cat is supposed to be spotted. A highlighted, underlined chin and a stroke around the eyes are also desirable.

Bengals coloring marble
The unofficial name for the coloring is marble on gold, but the most complex horizontally oriented stains can be located on other shades of the background. At least three shades are necessarily included in the marble color: a red background, the picture is darker, the border around the picture is even darker. Visually Marble does not contain round spots (“bull eyes”) and vertical stripes and stripes (mackerel tiger pattern). As with the spotted representatives of the Bengal breed, the maximum contrast of the background with sharply defined divorces is welcome. The belly of the marble species remains spotty.

Other appearance requirements
Although the saturation of colors and gamma shades of brown tabby may vary, the requirements for other exterior parameters are generally the same:

– “glasses” are obligatory (eye contouring), as well as the outlined contours of the lips and nose;

– the coat is noticeably lighter on the vibrissa pillows (pads), chest, chin, abdomen, and the inside of the paws;

– the tip of the tail is only black;

– The nose mirror is brick red;

– paw pads are black.

In the general exterior, the eye color is not strictly set, it can change in shades of yellow and green. The muzzle of a Bengal brown tabby is decorated with a “military color”: in addition to the expressive outline of the flair, there are three dark lines on the cheeks, as well as a mysterious sign on the forehead with the letter “M”, less often a scarab sign.

Disqualifications leading to disqualification
The most frequent and strictly monitored flaw of the breed includes spots merging on the body, which form even stripes-ribs inherent in the tiger pattern. Other flaws leading to disqualification of an animal are:

– any white marks-medallions on the chest, abdomen, neck or in other places;

– rounded marks called the bull’s eye, if marble cats or cats have them;

– gray shades in wool and undercoat;

– lack of contrast – as a result, the background wool merges with the pattern.

It is worth paying attention to the very concept of “rib” in the color of Bengal cats. Overgrown rosettes or locally shaded spot marks should not be taken as a strip. They, although vertical (going from the middle of the back to the stomach), unlike tiger strips, are wavy lines. The strip marked along the back is also not a disadvantage – it is valued equally with round sockets. If you need to choose a Bengal kitten with a leopard texture or a pedigree animal, specialists will prefer a contrasting bright representative of the breed with “runaway” marks together, rather than a dull color of a cat that does not have such a flaw.
